Dr. Al-Zoubi received his BSc and PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 1983 and 1987 respectively. He is a member of IEEE, Vice President of the International Association of Online Engineering (IAOE), Vice President and co-founder of the International eLearning Association (IELA), member of the International Mobile Learning Association and Co-Editor of the International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET). He is actively involved in research in the field of virtual engineering and remote labs and has vast experience in EU projects.

Dr. Wejdan Abu-Elhaija received her B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan and PhD degree in electrical machines from Queen University of Belfast, UK. In 2000, she joined the Department of Electronics Engineering, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, as an Assistant Professor. She has been promoted to Associate Professor in 2006. She held the position of President’s Assistant for quality Assurance during 2007-2010. In September 2009, she was appointed Head of the Electronics Engineering Department and became Dean of Electrical Engineering School in September 2011.  Her research interests are primarily in the field of electrical machines and drives.

​Ramon Torrent is a full-time professor of Political Economy and International Economic Law at the UB, member of the Legal Service of the EU Council (1988-1998) and director in charge of external economic relations since 1993. He is currently director of the International Chair WTO/Regional Integration and of the IELPO L.L. Master. He helped to conceive the WTO Chairs Program launched by the WO and sits in its Advisory Board. He has advised Governments and International Organisations on IELPO issues (mainly in the Americas). Professor Torrent has been the coordinator of different EU projects since 2003 (OBREAL-EuropeAid-, BRIDGES, PROMHEDEU, JISER-MED- Erasmus Mundus) successfully finalized.

​Ms. Zeineb Mazouz received her master degree in political sciences from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Lyon, France in 2006 and her M.A in Chinese Language and Literature from the Institute Supérieur des Langues de Tunis, Tunisia in 2003. She is currently working as a project manager at University of Barcelona for a number of Tempus and Erasmus Mundus projects for the Mediterranean region. She is also a member of the IELPO LL.M. master programme coordination team at the University of Barcelona. She is fluent in 6 languages, including Arabic, French, English, Spanish, Italian and Chinese.

Dr Omar Hasan received his PhD, MSc and BSc degrees in Communication Engineering from New Mexico State University, USA, in 1996, 1990 and 1987 respectively. He joined Princess Sumaya University for Technology in 1997 where he served as chairman for the communications engineering department in the period 2005-2009 and dean of student affairs.  Dr Hasan has worked in the area of turbo coding and optical wireless channels as a consultant for Global Cardiac Monitors, Texas in the period 2000-2002, and in different projects at physical science laboratory, Las Cruces, USA, in the period 1991-1992. He is an expert in quality assurance regularly working with HEAC as a consultant. He has been active in international relations and student’ exchange.

​Rafael Llavori is head of the Unit for International Relations of ANECA. He is graduated in History at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and he also holds a Master in Modern Languages by the Universidad Complutense. In September 2009 he was elected as member of the Board of the European Association of QA Agencies of Higher Education, ENQA. 12 years in the private sector as a consultant on environmental impact assessments in the field of public works, QA procedures associated to environmental processes. He joined the Spanish National Agency for QA and Accreditation of Higher Education in January 2003, becoming the Head of the Unit in 2005.

​Nick Harris is a UK consultant in HE, LLL and quality assurance. He holds a BSc and PhD from the University of Bath, and followed an academic career at the University of Durham (UK). A part-time consultancy at a UK research-funding body led to a 'career change', and he moved to the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in1998 (just as it was being established). He was a Director from 2002 until his retirement in September 2008. He has been closely involved in qualifications frameworks development across Europe, and undertaken many evaluations, of QA agencies, HE institutions and individual study programmes. He was until recently a UK Bologna Expert and has for several years been an International Advisor to ANECA.

​Vanessa Duclos has a BA in Foreign Languages (Université Stendhal, Grenoble, France), MA in Management of International Relations and Tourism (Université du Sud-Toulon Var, France). She is Officer for international relations of ANECA since 2009. She coordinated the ENQA review of the French Evaluation Agency for Research and Higher Education (AERES) in 2010 and was in charge of the co-organization of the Biennial INQAAHE Conference 2011 in Madrid on “Quality Assurance: Foundation for the Future”. She currently is coordinator of the International Projects of the Euro-Mediterranean Area. Member of the Working Group for the self-evaluation process for the external review of ANECA carried out by ENQA and member of the European Internal Quality Assurance Group (IQA).

​Achim Hopbach is currently serving his second mandate as the President of ENQA and has been occupying senior positions in organisations/bodies related to the field of reforms in higher education, especially QA for ten years. He is also the managing director of the German Accreditation Council (GAC) and mainly has contributed to the development of new QA procedures for Germany and the implementation of the European Standards and Guidelines into the German higher education system. Furthermore, Achim has been a part of the expert panel in external reviewing of several QA agencies and has broad experience in QA agency external reviewing. In addition, Achim has been involved closely in several international counselling projects for developing QA.

​Maria Kelo is currently serving as the Director of the Secretariat of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and has a wide range of experience related to higher education. Her tasks within ENQA include: management of the ENQA Secretariat, act as Secretary to the ENQA Board, support and coordinate ENQA member agencies, manage projects, and represent the Association. She has previously worked as Senior Officer for the  Academic Cooperation Association where was actively involved as an expert in Higher education policy developments and reforms at national and European level (Bologna, ET2010); higher education internationalisation and international cooperation; mobility; student services and attractiveness of Europe.

​Zeynep Olcen is currently working as Project Officer within the ENQA Secretariat and her main tasks include daily operational (including partnership) and financial management of the on-going ENQA EU projects, drafting project reports and proposals. She works directly with ENQA Director on EU projects and proposals. Zeynep has previous experience in LLP/Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation projects and has worked as “Researcher” for a consultancy company before being selected as “Blue Book” trainee  for the Comenius, ICT and Languages Unit of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) where she performed as trainee in charge of assisting the Project Manager with Comenius projects.

He received his PhD in Islamic History from Jordanian University , Jordan, 2000.  Now he works as Associate Professor of Islamic History and Civilization, Department of History, and director of Academic Development and Quality Assurance Centre.

​Professor Mohammad Mismar received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Iowa State University, USA, in 1979, 1981, and 1982, respectively. He joined the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan in 1983. He worked as the Vice-President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology from September 2003 till June 2007. He was appointed as a member of the Higher Education Accreditation Commission from June 2007 till January 2010. Currently, he is Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Vice-President at the Hashemite University. He served on several boards and committees. His areas of interest cover digital filter design and signal processing.

​Bashar Hammad received B.S. degree from University of Jordan in 1997, M.S. degree from University of Texas at Arlington in 2003, both in Mechanical Engineering, and PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech (VT) in 2008. He received the Graduate Teaching Fellowship at VT in 2007. He focused on solar energy in his undergraduate study and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) in his postgraduate research. He joined the Hashemite University (HU) as an assistant professor in the Mechatronics Engineering Department. His current teaching and research interests are in solar photovoltaic systems, building automation, and energy harvesters. He served as assistant dean and is currently the director of Academic Quality Assurance Center at HU.

​​Professor Hanan Malkawi had her bachelor degree in Biological Sciences at Yarmouk University, Jordan, MSc and PhD degrees in Bacteriology and Public Health from Washington State University, USA. She was appointed as professor at Yarmouk University where she has been involved in research lines in biotechnology and its applications in environment, health, agriculture, microbiology, food and cosmetic industry, and recently in nanotechnology and its applications in biological systems and environment, where she registered several patents. She has several funded grants from national and international agencies, and has good and practical experience with EU funded projects. Hanan Malkawi has over 50 published papers in peer reviewed scientific journals.

​Dr. Khaled Gharaibeh received PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2004 from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC.  Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering since 2009, assistant Dean 2008-2009, head of the Telecommunications Engineering Department since 2009, served as a member of various councils and committees including university council, faculty council, Accreditation committee, graduate studies committee and scientific research committee. He is the coordinator of Tempus project 511074-1-TEMPUS-2010-1-JO-JPCR. He has published more than 30 scientific research papers in international journals and conferences and the author of one book: Nonlinear Distortion in Wireless Systems, Wiley.

​Professor Mustafa Al Adwan has been Dean of Al Quds College since August 2006. An educationalist by profession, Dr. Al Adwan was the Head of the Accreditation Division from 1989-1991, and the head of the Examination Division at the Ministry of Higher Education from 1991 through 1993. Dr. Mustafa also held the position of Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Jordan in Baghdad. He spent 18 years of his career in various prominent governmental positions, most recent of which was a Counsellor at the Parliament of Jordan. AL Adwan earned a Fulbright fellowship from the American University of Washington DC in 1994. He wrote and edited a number of books and articles on political development, democracy, Jordan’s foreign policy, and human rights.

​Dr Bashir Al Zu’bi is president of HEAC and a Professor of Economics at Jordan University. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, served as Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister of Jordan, Head of the Economic Research Department at the Council of Ministers and Economic Expert at the Higher Planning Council at Doha, Qatar, Chairman of Business Economics Department, Vice Dean for graduate studies of the Faculty of Business, Dean of the faculty of business in the university of Jordan, a member of the higher education council, vice president of the university of Jordan. He has extensive in applied research in poverty, economic reforms, public sector reform, FDI, monetary and fiscal policies, competitiveness and trade.

​Prof. Saleh Al-Jufout received his PhD in Electrical Power Engineering in 1997 from Donetsk National Technical University. In the same year, he joined Al-Balqa’ Applied University and then in 2005 he joined Tafila Technical University in Tafila, Jordan. Currently, he is a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tafila Technical University. His research interests are in mathematical modelling of electrical power systems, electrical machines and drives, their protection and control.

​Abdullah Al-Maharmeh is the Director of Planning and Quality Management Department at AHU and  has over 35 years of a progressive experience in Quality related issues and topics. He participated in developing quality assurance policies, procedures and strategic plans for education and services, has written AHU Quality Assurance Plan for the years 2007-2011 and in progress is the developing and formulating of the AHU Strategic Plan for Quality Assurance for the years 2012-2016.  He also participated in over 50 national and international conferences, workshops, and Seminars tackling quality issues in higher education sector and hands-on in implementing the plans into actions to achieve stated goals.

Tiia Tammaru has wide international experience, acting as Chairman of the Board of Estonian Association for Quality, representing Estonia in international organizations, such as European Organization for Quality (EOQ), EFQM, World Alliance for Quality. She has been member of EOQ Working Group on Excellence in Education.
